Teaching is a real challenge to your character, abilities and talent.
Many young people consider teaching as a career. It is a real challenge to your character, abilities and talent, as teaching is a constant stream of decisions. Children in the classroom aren’t just boys and girls. Every is a unique individual who has never been before and will never again exist. If you like people, you will love teaching. To be a good teacher you must be really interested in what you are doing.
Every day, teachers mold the future through impacting their students’ views and understandings. Teachers foster creativity, develop character, give students lenses with which to view the world and provide students with the skills they need to reach their potential and lead productive lives. Many individuals are attracted to teaching by a sense of service, because they want to make a clear, tangible difference in the lives of others. Moreover teachers see the fruits of pupils efforts everyday as they use their intelligence and creativity to help of pupils become excited about and learn about the science in their lives.
Something else I'd like to say, it’s very difficult to be a teacher, if a teacher doesn't genuinely love teaching. And I'd like to add that in my personal opinion it's the most important point. It's quite obvious that a good teacher must be intelligent and responsible. Apart from that, a good teacher should be a kind of subtle pshycoligist to find a way of teaching to each student.
I might as well add that it's not as important as above mentioned, but still I think a teacher should have a good sense of humor to cope with all the difficulties of teaching.
In addition, I think a good teacher must establish good rapport with pupils. This creates an amicable atmosphere so that pupils are free to ask queries and also discuss things. A teacher is a friend, parent and guide all rolled in one.
